Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Roberts & Co. (Abergele) Ltd., of The Tannery, Water Street, Abergele, Conwy, North Wales, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from underground sandstone at National Grid Reference SH 9468 7762, at The Tannery, Water Street, Abergele. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 34 cubic metres per hour; 400 cubic metres per day; 114,400 cubic metres all year. The water will be used for the production of leather from salted sheepskins.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Roberts & Co. (Abergele), The Tannery, Water Street, Abergele, Conwy, between 18th March and 22nd April 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Welsh Region, Ffordd Penlan Parc, Menai, Bangor, Gwynedd LL57 4BP, before the end of the said period.
