Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Aggregate Industries UK Ltd., of Radcliffe House, Blenheim Court, Lode Lane, Solihull B91 2AA, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Cleveland Farm, Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire, at National Grid References SU 0600 9440, SU 0600 9430, SU 0610 9410, SU 0630 9430, at Cleveland Farm, Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 280 cubic metres per hour, 2,780 cubic metres per day, 828,277 cubic metres per year.   The water will be used for concrete product manufacture and mineral washing as permitted by licence number 28/39/1/88 which expires in March 1998.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Bardon Aggregates, Cleveland Farm Quarry, between 26th February and 26th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Abstraction Control Manager, Kings Meadow House, Kings Meadow Road, Reading RG1 8DQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
