Notice of application to vary licences to abstract water

Notice is hereby given that applications are being made to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region by Frederick Hiam Limited, Manor Farm, Ixworth Thorpe, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, to vary the following licences so that they run from 1st March to 31st October each year:   Licence No. 6/33/41/G/164 (Hall Farm, Bardwell) for abstraction from a borehole at National Grid Reference TL 942 725 in the parish of Bardwell in the district of St. Edmundsbury in the county of Suffolk.   Licence No. 6/33/45/11/12 (Little Ouse River) for abstraction from the Little Ouse River at National Grid Reference points TL 755 868, TL 744 871 and TL 735 873 in the parish of Brandon in the district of Forest Heath in the county of Suffolk.   Licence No. 6/33/45/53 (Brandon Fields) (Incorporating No. 6/33/56/150) for abstraction from boreholes at National Grid References TL 753 865 and TL 747 853 in the parish of Brandon in the district of Forest Heath in the county of Suffolk.   Licence No. 6/33/37/G/358 (Hill Farm, Tuddenham) for abstraction from boreholes at National Grid References TL 741 689 and TL 743 715 for spray irrigation and storage in a reservoir.   Licence No. 6/33/39/46/3 (Putney Hill) for abstraction within Middle Fen and Mere IDB from Crooked drain and other drains, dykes and watercourses in the parish of Soham and Ely in the district of East Cambridgeshire in the county of Cambridgeshire.   Licence No. 6/33/39/47/3 (Shippea Hill) for abstraction within Burnt Fen IDB from drains, dykes and watercourses in the parishes of Prickwillow and Littleport in the district of East Cambridgeshire in the county of Cambridgeshire.   Licence No. 6/33/39/56/4 (Pratts) for abstraction within Burnt Fen and Mildenhall IDB’s from the River Lark and drains, dykes and watercourses in the parish of Mildenhall in the district of Forest Heath in the county of Suffolk.   Licence No. 6/33/40/8/9 (Letter F) for abstraction within Burnt Fen IDB from drains, dykes and watercourses in the parish of Littleport in the district of East Cambridgeshire in the county of Cambridgeshire.   Licence No. 6/33/47/S/119 (Apes Hall) for abstraction within Littleport and Downham IDB from drains at National Grid Reference points TL 545 901, TL 547 903 and TL 545 905 in the parish of Littleport in the district of East Cambridgeshire in the county of Cambridgeshire.   Application is also being made to alter the area to which water may be applied for the following licence:   Licence No. 6/33/37/S/363 (Turf Fen, Tuddenham) for abstraction from the River Lark at National Grid Reference TL 741 736 for storage in a reservoir and subsequent spray irrigation. The area outlined on the licence to be removed.   A copy of the applications and of any maps, plans or other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours between 26th February and 2nd April 1998, at the location relevant to the licence as follows:   Frederick Hiam Ltd., Manor Farm, Ixworth Thorpe, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk;   Frederick Hiam Ltd., Brandon Fields Estate, Brandon, Suffolk;   Littleport Post Office, Littleport, Ely, Cambridgeshire.   The Post Office, High Street, Tuddenham, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Central Area, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period.
