The Waltham Forest (Bus Stop Clearway) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, hereinafter called the Council, on 24th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order will be to designate a Bus Stop Clearway in the lay-by on the north side of Hatch Lane fronting Nos. 18-58 to Nos. 34-74 Hatch Lane where vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at any time.   A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 1st March 1998, of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and a plan showing the location and effect of the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at:   (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow E.17; and   (b) The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford E.4; and copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Head of Highways and Services at the address shown in (b) above.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
