The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Route) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1998 The Waltham Forest (Bus Stand Clearway) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1998 The Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 69) Order 1998 (One-Way Working/Bus Stands/Waiting and Loading Restrictions in ‘Leytonstone Plaza’, E.11)

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (hereinafter called the “Council”), on 23rd February 1998, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Prescribed Route Order will be to impose one-way working for vehicles in the unnamed access road off Grove Green Road surrounding the area of land known as ‘Leytonstone Plaza’ (hereinafter called ‘Leytonstone Plaza’) in a general southerly direction.   The general effect of the bus stand clearway Order will be to prohibit vehicles (except buses) from stopping at any time on 3 bus stands situated in Leytonstone Plaza.   The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to further amend the Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977, so that waiting and loading by vehicles will be prohibited at any time in Leytonstone Plaza.   A copy of each of the above Orders, which will come into operation on 27th February 1998, of the above-mentioned Order of 1977 (and of the Orders which have previously amended that Order), of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and of a plan showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at:   (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow E.17;   (b) The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford E.4; and   (c) The Information Desk, Municipal Offices, High Road, Leyton E.10.   Copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Head of Highways and Services at the address given below.   Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Orders, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
