Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited, of Endurance House, Chivers Way, Histon, Cambridge CB4 4ZR, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a chalk borehole at National Grid Reference TM 180 626 at Debenham Sewage treatment works in the parish of Debenham, in the district of mid Suffolk, in the county of Suffolk.   The proposed quantities to be abstracted are 2,200 cubic metres in any day and 400,000 cubic metres in any year.   The water will be used to support the flow of the River Deben during periods of low flow.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the address given above and at Debenham Post Office, 10 High Street, Debenham, Stowmarket, Suffolk, between 27th February 1998 and 27th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period.
