The A45 Trunk Road (East Lodge, Highnam) (Closure of a Gap in the Central Reservation) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made this Order on 13th February 1998, coming into force on 3rd March 1998, on the A40 Trunk Road at Highnam in the Borough of Tewkesbury in the County of Gloucestershire.   The notice of the proposal to make it (reference DSW 5056 41/A40/29/01) was published in issue number 54868 of The London Gazette, on 18th August 1997, and the effect of the Order is as described in that notice.   A copy of the made Order; of maps showing the location of the Order and of the alternative routes available for diverted traffic; and of the A40 Trunk Road (Highnam Roundabout to Over Roundabout, Gloucestershire) (Prohibition of U-Turns) Order 1989, which is varied by the draft Order, may be inspected during office hours at the main reception of the offices of Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Gloucester and at Gloucester Library, Brunswick Road, Gloucester. They may also be obtained by application of the Highway Agency, NCS(S), The Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Tollgate House, Houlton Street, Bristol BS2 9DJ, quoting reference DSW 5056 41/A40/29/01.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of regulations made thereunder, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks from 13th February 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provisions contained therein.
