Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Ready Mixed Concrete (Transite) Limited of The Willows, Barnet Road, London Colney, Hertfordshire AL2 1BD, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a lagoon at National Grid Reference SU 893 827, at Summerleaze Road, Maidenhead SL6 8SP.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 12 cubic metres per hour, 120 cubic metres per day and 25,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for concrete production and the washing of vehicles.   The abstraction of water for concrete production was partly licenced by Summerleaze Limited under abstraction licence number 28/39/26/69 which is to be revoked.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Ready Mixed Concrete (Transite) Limited, 7 Summerleaze Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 8SP, between 26th February 1998, and 16th April 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Water Resources Officer, South East Area, Environment Agency, Thames Region, Kings Meadow House, Kings Meadow Road, Reading RG1 8DQ, before the end of the said period quoting the name of the applicant.
