INTEGRATED POLLUTION CONTROL
Public Notification of an Application made under section 6 of The Environmental Protection Act 1990, Part 1
Notice is hereby given that SEPG (Operations) has applied to the Secretary of State
for the Environment for an Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation to operate
an open cycle gas turbine process at the Southern Electric 132KV/33KV Substation,
Bottle Copse, Barkham Road, Wokingham, Berkshire RG41 2RG, in the district of Wokingham,
in the county of Berkshire.
Information relating to the above IPC application for authorisation to operate
the open cycle gas turbine process is held in registers at the following locations;
The Environment Agency, Reading Bridge House, c/o Kings Meadow House, Kings Meadow
Road, Reading, Berkshire RG1 8DQ and Wokingham District Council, Health and Housing
Department, Civic Offices, Shute End, Wokingham RG11 1WQ.
Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above
stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who
wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do
so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying.
Any objections or representations to the above IPC application should be made in
writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date
of this public notice, The Environment Agency, Millenium House, Fleetwood Park, Barley
Way, Fleet, Hampshire GU13 8UT.
Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless
the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there
is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been
a request.
In this case there will be included in the register a statement indicating only
that representations have been made which have been the subject of such a request.
