Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water

Take notice that The Essex Golf Club of Garon Park, Eastern Avenue, Southend, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence/serial number 8/37/44/5/72 which authorises the abstraction of water from Muckling Hall Brook at National Grid Reference TQ 9055 8750 which is located at the western perimeter of the Golf Course near to Rebels Lane.   The variation being applied for is: (a) relocation of the abstraction point to a point about 100 metres upstream on Muckling Hall Brook at National Grid Reference TQ 9055 8740, and (b) a secondary abstraction point from an existing amenity pond at National Grid Reference TQ 8955 8805 which receives surface water run-off from adjacent developed areas.   A copy of the application with maps, plans and other documents submitted may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Essex Golf Club Complex, Garon Park, Eastern Avenue, Southend, between 27th February and 27th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
