The City of Westminster (Parking Place) (No. 15) Order 1998 The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 547) Order 1998 Grafton Street

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council on 11th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 19 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Parking Place Order will be to:   (a) re-designate a 2-hour metered parking place in Grafton Street;   (b) provide that in respect of the metered parking place, the charge for its use, the classes of vehicle for which it will be available, the hours during which it will operate and the time limits during which vehicles may be left in the parking place, will remain unchanged.   The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Amendment Order will be to further amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1976, so as to relocate a solo motorcycle parking area in Grafton Street and provide an additional solo motorcycle parking area in that street.   The Orders, which will come into force on 16th February 1998, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Hyder Consulting Ltd., Third Floor, 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, until 25th March 1998.   Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to either of the Orders may make application for the purposes to the High Court by 25th March 1998.
