Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Frank Hardy & Sons Ltd., Corner House Farm, Farndon, Newark, Nottinghamshire, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Carr Dyke between Grid References SK 7223 4123 and SK 7302 4209 at Scarrington.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 60 cubic metres per hour, 1,200 cubic metres per day, 28,000 cubic metres per year, between May and October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation.   A copy of athe application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Corner House Farm, Farndon, between the dates of 17th February and 17th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Trentside Offices, Scarrington Road, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period.
