Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Dales Water Services Ltd., Witherick Lane, Melmerby, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 5JB, on behalf of J. W. E. Hargreaves, Lanshaw Farm, Austwick, Settle, North Yorkshire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the millstone grit at National Grid Reference point SD 7530 6627 at Lanshaw Farm, in the parish of Lawkland, North Craven District of North Yorkshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 6.14 cubic metres per hour, 23 cubic metres per day, 8,395 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for agricultural use on a dairy farm. A copy of the application and of any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Lanshaw Farm, Austwick, Settle, North Yorkshire, between 13th February 1998 and 13th March 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North West Region, Central Area, Lutra House, Dodd Way, off Seedlee Road, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 8XB, before the end of the said period.
