Highway at Ravenhall Close, off Cat Lane, Shard End, Birmingham

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (City of Birmingham) (No. 1) Order 1998, authorising the stopping-up of the entire length of Ravenhall Close, off Cat Lane, Shard End, Birmingham, and the improvement of existing highway shown as cross hatched on the deposited plan.   The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Birmingham City Council on 21st August 1997 under reference N/02532/97/FUL.   Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT, (quoting Ref. 5104/35/1/116) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Birmingham City Council, Baskerville House, Broad Street, Birmingham B1 2NA.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 12th February 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. Schedule

  Erection of a sheltered housing scheme and day centre including 21 one-bedroomed flats, 5 two-bedroomed flats, associated communal facilities and external works/parking and stopping-up of Ravenhall Close and provision of new access road off School Lane.
