Closure of Public Car Park, George Square, Uxbridge

Notice is hereby given that on 20th February 1998, the Council of the London Borough of Hillingdon in exercise of its powers under section 32 and section 35 (1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and section 115 of the Highways Act 1980, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the said Act will make an Order entitled the London Borough of Hillingdon (Off Street) (Parking Places) Order 1985 (Variation) (No. 4) Order 1998.   The purpose of the said Order is to remove George Square Car Park, Uxbridge, from the Schedule of the Off Street Parking Places Order 1985.   All other facilities, charges and conditions remain unaltered.   A copy of the Order which comes into operation on 1st March 1998, may be inspected at Level 3 Reception, Civic Centre, Uxbridge, Middlesex, during normal office hours for 6 weeks following the date on which this notice was published.   Applications to the High Court challenging the legality of the Order should be made within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made.
