Highways Act 1980, Section 116

Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Barnet, the Highway Authority, intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Court House, High Street, Barnet, Hertfordshire, on 25th March 1998, at 2 p.m. for an Order that part of the highway in Berkeley Crescent, New Barnet, in the London Borough of Barnet, being the grass verge situated on the western side of the eastern arm of Berkeley Crescent opposite Bourn Avenue, and measuring 34 metres long six metres wide approximately and fronting numbers 65 to 71 (odd numbers), Berkeley Crescent, and also the footpath abutting the western edge of the said grass verge, being 34 metres long and two metres wide approximately, be stopped-up on the ground that it is unnecessary.   The effect of the proposed Order is shown on the plan deposited at the offices of the Council, at Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone N.20, (telephone 0181 359 4354), or at the Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London NW4 4BG, (telephone 0181 359 2540), where it may be inspected, free of charge, between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on weekdays (except Saturday).   Any person who uses this highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order has a right to attend Court and be heard on the application, and anyone intending to do so should inform the undersigned indicating the nature of his representations.
