Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Springtire Ltd. of Caradoc Farm, Sellack, near Ross-on-Wye, Hertfordshire HR9 6LS, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstact water from the River Wye, between National Grid References SO 5482 2825 and SO 5693 2775 shown as points “A” and “B” respectively on the plan, at Caradoc Farm in the Parish of Sellack in the county of Hereford and Worcester.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates:   Not more than 40 cubic metres per hour.   Not more than 455 cubic metres per day.   Not more than 31,818 cubic metres per annum—between 1st May and 30th September each year.   The water will be used for spray irrigation.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at The Post Office, Hoarwithy, between Thursday, 12th February and Monday, 16th March 1998 (inclusive).   Any person who wishes to make representations about this application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Hadnock Road, Monmouth NP5 3NQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
