Notice of Proposal to make On-Street Parking Place Order

Notice is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the Order referred to below under sections 32, 35 and 124(1) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). The Kent County Council (Variation of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council 1987 Street Parking Places (Disabled Persons Vehicles) Order) (Variation No. 8) Order 1997. The effect of the Order will be to Create On-Street Parking Places for disabled persons vehicles at the following locations:   (a)  Bishops Oak Ride —single space on north side (68 metres west from its junction with Shipbourne Road);   (b)  Douglas Road —single space on south side (5 metres east of its junction with Mabledon Road);   (c)  St. Mary’s Road —single space on east side (160 metres south of its junction with Springwell Road);   (d)  Judd Road —single space on east side (99 metres south of its junction with Springwell Road);   (e)  Shakespeare Road —single space on south side (33 metres east of its junction with Scott Road); and   (f)  Shakespeare Road —single space on south side (43 metres east of its junction with Scott Road).   A copy of the Order together with plans and statement as to the reason for the Order may be inpected during normal office hours at the offices of the Tonbridge and Malling Highways Management Unit at Kings Hill, West Malling, at the offices of the Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council at Tonbridge Castle, Tonbridge and at Highways & Transportation Department, Kent County Council, Sandling Block, Springfield, Maidstone, Kent. Any objections or representations with respect to the Order as proposed must be made in writing to the Highways Manager, Tonbridge and Malling Highways Management Unit, Park Building, Gibson Drive, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 6LZ, no later than 27th February 1998.
