Fairfield South/Fairfield West - Revocation of Banned Right Turn

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames, on 5th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended).   The general effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 16th February 1998, would be to revoke the existing banned right turn from Fairfield South into Fairfield West.   A copy of the Order, a plan which indicates the location and effect of the Order, a copy of the press notice and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order may be inspected until 19th March 1998, at the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston-upon-Thames KT1 1EU, between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and at Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey (during normal opening hours).   Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Directorate of Environmental Services (Engineering and Transportation), Guildhall 2, Kingston-upon-Thames KT1 1EU.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
