The London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames (Major Events, Marble Hill Park) (Restrictions on Motor Vehicles) Traffic Order 1998 . Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames propose to make the above Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The effects of the proposed Order will be to:   (a) introduce one-way traffic in Orleans Road north to south, Lebanon Park south to north and Riverside, between Orleans Road and Lebanon Road, east to west;   (b) prohibit vehicles waiting on the west side of Crown Road between Richmond Road and St. Margaret’s Road; the west side of Orleans Road between Richmond Road and “Park Cottage”; both sides of Orleans Road between “Park Cottage” and Riverside; the north side of Riverside between Lebanon Park and Orleans Road; the south side of Richmond Road between Lebanon Park and St. Margaret’s Road; the north side of Richmond Road between Crown Road and St. Margaret’s Road and the south-west side of St. Margaret’s Road between Crown Road and Chertsey Road;   (c) prohibit vehicles turning right into Richmond Road from Lodge Gate, Marble Hill Park and from turning left into Richmond Road from Main Gate, Marble Hill Park;   (d) all between the hours of 5 p.m. and 12 midnight on those days when major events are taking place at Marble Hill Park, Richmond Road, Twickenham and when signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 1994 are displayed. The roads affected and the specific times of operation of the restrictions will be determined by the police in consultation with the Local Authority. In addition “No Entry for Concert Traffic” signs will be erected at each side road junction from Crown Road, Richmond Road and St. Margaret’s Road, east of St. Margaret’s Station.   Copies of the Order, the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and plans showing the roads affected can be inspected at the:   (a) Civic Centre, (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9.15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays;   (b) Central Reference Library, Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond, during opening hours;   (c) Twickenham Reference Library, Waldegrave Road, during opening hours.   If you wish to object to or make representation on the proposals you should write giving the grounds for your objection or representation to the Head of Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, to be received by 27th February 1998. 6th February 1998.
