Notice of application to abstract water

Take notice that Dales Water Services Ltd., Witherick Lane, Melmerby, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 5JB, on behalf of Ramside Estates Ltd., Ramside Hall Hotel, Carrville, Durham DH1 1TD, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a storage lagoon fed by surface water drains at National Grid Reference N2313 447.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 36 cubic metres per hour, 589 cubic metres per day, 38,636 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of greens, tees and approaches of Ramside Hall Golf Course, Carrville, Durham.   A copy of the application and of any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Ramside Hall Hotel, Carrville, Durham DH1 1TD, between 5th February 1998 and 5th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency North East Region, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, before the end of the said period.
