The London Borough of Merton (Controlled Zone) (Parking Places) (No. ) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The general effects of the Orders will be to introduce additional residents’ parking bays operating between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Saturday, in the following sections of Balfour Road:   (a) Balfour Road, north side, from a point 1.3 east of the party wall of Nos. 30-32 Balfour Road to a point 2.7 metres west of the party wall of Nos. 22-24 Balfour Road. Three spaces will be available;   (b) Balfour Road, north side, from a point 0.8 metres west of the party wall of Nos. 10-12 Balfour Road to a point 2 metres west of the eastern flank wall of No. 2 Balfour Road. Four spaces will be available.   Nothing in the Orders will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.   A copy of the proposed Orders, a plan identifying the area affected by the proposed Order can be inspected during the Council’s normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays until 27th February 1998 at the main reception, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objections and the grounds thereof to the Head of Legal Services at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey SM4 5DX, quoting Ref.
