Stopping-up of highway, part of St. Gregory’s Place, Chorley, Chorley Borough

Notice is hereby given that the Chorley Borough Council, being the duly authorised Agent for Lancashire County Council, the Highway Authority, intend to apply to the Chorley Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Court House, St. Thomas’s Square, Chorley, on Wednesday, 11th March 1998, at 2 p.m., for an Order authorising the stopping-up of a length of the highway known as St. Gregory’s Place, Chorley, in the Borough of Chorley, a total area of 200 square metres on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary.   A copy of the map showing the proposal may be inspected, free of charge, in reception at the Town Hall, Chorley, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive, until the date of the above hearing.   On the hearing of the application for the Order, any person who uses the highway proposed to be stopped up and any person who would be aggrieved by the Order applied for, shall have the right to be heard.
