Notice of application for a permit to undertake mineral resource activities in Antarctica for the purposes of scientific research

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 4(2) of the Antarctic Regulations 1995, that TREVOR WILLIAMS has submitted an application to the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs for a permit under section 6(4)(a) of the Antarctic Act 1994, to undertake mineral resource activities in Antarctica for research into Antarctic Glacial History.   A copy of the application is available for inspection during normal office hours, free of charge, at Trevor Williams, Department of Geology, University of Leicester, Leicester LE1 7RH, telephone 0116 252 3634, fax 0116 252 3918.   Copies of the application, subject to photocopying and postage or fax charges, can also be obtained by writing to or faxing the above address. 27th January 1998.
