Application for an Order Authorising the Stopping-up of part of Stretford Road, Hulme, Manchester

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Manchester, intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester, on Thursday, 5th March 1998, at 2 p.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authoriising the stopping-up of the highway specified hereto on the ground that it is unnecessary.   A plan showing the said highway may be inspected, without payment at my office Room 601 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays.   Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Order may appear before the Court and make objections or representations thereto. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the applciation is requested to inform me, quoting reference L/MF, before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear. S.    Stretford Road, Hulme, that portion of highway approximately 1.35 metres wide and approximately 64 metres long adjacent to the southerly boundary of St. Philips Church of England Primary School extending from a point approximately 5 metres east of the south westerly corner of the school site in an easterly direction to a point 5 metres west of the south easterly corner of the school site. 2nd February 1998.
