Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that T. F. Whitaker & Son, of Raygill Farm, Lothersdale, Keighley BD20 8HH, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the carboniferous limestone at National Grid Reference SD 943 457 at Raygill Farm, Lothersdale. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 2.72 cubic metres per hour, 20 cubic metres per day, 7,300 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for domestic and agricultural purposes.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Raygill Farm, Lothersdale between 9th February and 9th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period.
