Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Chorlton-Cum-Hardy Golf Club of Barlow Hall, Barlow Hall Road, Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, Manchester M21 7JJ, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole at National Grid Reference 8160 9213 at Barlow Hall Road, Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, Manchester M21 7JJ. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 8 cubic metres per hour, 70 cubic metres per day, 10,000 cubic metres per year, between March and October each year. The water will be used for irrigating the Golf Course.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it, may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Chorlton-Cum-Hardy Golf Club, between 29th January 1998 to 29th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, PO Box 12, Richard Fairclough House, Knutsford Road, Warrington WA4 1HG, before the end of the said period.
