The Bedfordshire County Council (B4540 and B4541 Whipsnade Cross Roads) Side Roads Order 1997

The Bedfordshire County Council hereby give notice that they have made, and are about to submit to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, an Order under section 14 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the Council:   (a) to carry out improvements to the B4540 and the C225;   (b) to stop up lengths of the B4540, B4541 and C225; and   (c) to construct new highways to take the place of the highways stopped up; all on or in the vicinity of Whipsnade Cross Roads at the junction of the B4540, B4541 and C225.   Copies of the Order and of the relevant plan may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 26th January 1998, at the offices of the South Bedfordshire District Council, High Street, North Dunstable.   Any person may not later than 10th March 1998, object to the confirmation of the Order, by notice to the Secretary of State for Transport, Government Office for the North East, Local Authority Orders Section, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD, stating the grounds of their objection.
