Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Arthur Mark Farrer, The Honourable Dame Nadine Marisa Bonsor, George Neil Mainwaring and Edmund Michael Wood, care of Smiths Gore, 1 Beaumont Fee, Lincoln LN1 1UH, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the river Trent, between National Grid References SK 8065 9669 and SK 8136 9863, and from the Jenny Hurn Drain between National Grid References SK 8126 9625 and SK 8158 9861 at Wildsworth, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 55 cubic metres per hour, 1,210 cubic metres per day, and 50,000 cubic metres between 1st April and 31st October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation for agricultural or other purposes between 1st April and 31st October annually. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at The Estate Office, 94 Morton Terrace, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire DN21 2SS, between 12th January and 12th February 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Trentside, Scarrington Road, West Bridgeford, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period.
