THE OFFSHORE PETROLEUM PRODUCTION AND PIPE-LINES (ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS) REGULATIONS 1999 (AS AMENDED)

Pursuant to Regulations 5(8) and 5(A) of the above Regulations, the Secretary of State hereby gives notice that, being content that the requirements of the above Regulations have been satisfied, consent under the Petroleum Act 1998 has been granted to the operator(s) listed below to the getting of petroleum, the drilling of a well or the construction of installations or pipelines.

Having regard to the environmental statement prepared in respect of a project under the above Regulations, and the representations and opinions received from third parties, those consulted, the Secretary of State has assessed the project and determined that consent should be granted under the Petroleum Act 1998, subject to the project being undertaken in accordance with the information contained in the environmental statement and/or any supplementary information submitted in support of that environmental statement.

Details relating to the content of a decision, and any attached conditions; the main reasons and considerations on which the decision is based; any representations or opinions received from third parties and how they were taken into account; and, where necessary, any measures required to mitigate adverse effects on the environment, can be obtained by contacting the Environmental Management Team, DECC EDU-OED, Atholl House, 86‑88 Guild Street, Aberdeen AB11 6AR (e-mail emt@decc.gsi.gov.uk). Any person aggrieved by the grant of a consent, or the imposition of a relevant requirement in respect of the project, on the grounds that the consent was granted in contravention of Regulation 5(4) of the above Regulations, or that the interests of the applicant have been substantially prejudiced by any failure to comply with any other requirement of the Regulations, may apply to the Courts for the approval or the imposition of the requirement to be quashed, but they must do so within six weeks of the date of publication of this notice.
