A P roclamation
APPOINTING TUESDAY, 27TH DECEMBER 2011, MONDAY, 4TH JUNE 2012 AND TUESDAY, 5TH JUNE 2012, AS BANK HOLIDAYS IN SCOTLAND.
Elizabeth R .

Whereas We consider it desirable that Tuesday, the twenty-seventh day of December 2011 should be a bank holiday in Scotland:

And whereas, to mark, the Sixtieth Anniversary of Our Accession to the Throne, it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Monday, the twenty-eighth day of May in the year 2012 should be a bank holiday in Scotland and We consider it desirable that Monday, the fourth day of June in the year 2012 should be appointed a bank holiday in Scotland in place of it:

And whereas, We consider it desirable that Tuesday, the fifth day of June in the year 2012 should be a bank holiday in Scotland:

Now, therefore, We, in pursuance of section 1(2) and section 1(3) of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the twenty-seventh day of December in the year 2011, Monday, the fourth day of June in the year 2012 and Tuesday, the fifth day of June in the year 2012 to be bank holidays in Scotland.

Given at Our Court at Buckingham Palace this eighth day of June in the year of our Lord two thousand and eleven in the sixtieth year of Our Reign.
