TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997: ABERFELDY, CRIEFF, GRANDTULLY & STRATHTAY AND PERTH CENTRAL CONSERVATION AREAS

NOTICE IN CONNECTION WITH REGULATION 11 OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (CONTROL OF ADVERTISEMENTS) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 1984

Notice is hereby given that Perth and Kinross Council as local planning authority in exercise of its powers under Regulation 11 of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (Scotland) Regulations 1984 has received the approval of the Scottish Ministers for the application of Regulation 11 in Aberfeldy, Crieff, Grandtully & Strathtay and Perth Central Conservation Areas. Regulation 11 Directions for these conservation areas will come into operation on 9 October 2009. The Directions extend the level of planning control in order to control normally permitted forms of advertisement and signage, in recognition of the impact that advertisements can have in areas of environmental quality if they are not the subject of control.

Details of the classes of advertisement that would come under advertisement control, maps of the conservation areas and written descriptions of the conservation area boundaries can be inspected, during normal office hours, at the Environment Service, Perth and Kinross Council, Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull Street, Perth.
