THE A96 TRUNK ROAD (ELGIN) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS give notice that they propose to make the above Order under section 84(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 40 mph speed limit on that length of the A96 Aberdeen – Inverness Trunk Road 50 metres or thereby east of its junction with Pinefield Parade eastwards, a distance of 806 metres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order a copy of which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal office hours from 27th February 2009 to 3rd April 2009 at Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4 0HF and Access Point, The Moray Council, Council Offices, High Street, Elgin IV30 1BX.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to The Chief Roads Engineer, c/o Michael McCormack, Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4 0HF quoting reference A96/MMC002 by 3rd April 2009.
