(LOCKERBIE ICE RINK) (STOPPING UP OF ACCESS) ORDER 2008.
NOTICE is hereby given that The Dumfries and Galloway Council have made the above named Order under Section 71(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
1. The effect of the Order is to stop up the area of road described in the schedule hereto, being satisfied that the area of road is unnecessary and that no alternative road is necessary. The Order shall commence on 17 October 2008. The effect of the Order is as stated in the Annandale Herald dated 4 September 2008 and the Edinburgh Gazette dated 5 September 2008.
2. The Order (as made), relevant plan (SPPP/01/02/27) and Notice may be inspected at Combined Services, Harthill Depot, Glasgow Road, Lockerbie and Customer Service Centre, High Street, Lockerbie, during normal office hours (09.00-17.00hrs) between 16 October 2008 and 27 November 2008.
3. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 13 October 2008 apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
