NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 13(5) - SUBMISSION OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

Proposed Development at: St James Centre, Edinburgh

Notice is hereby given that an Environmental Statement has been submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council by Henderson Global Investors, relating to the outline planning application in respect of redevelopment and refurbishment including demolition works and new buildings to provide mixed use development comprising retail (Class 1), Leisure & Culture (Class 10 and Class 11), Hotel (Class 7), Offices (Class 4), Food & Drink (Class 3), residential, and other related ancillary uses (including Financial, Professional and other Services – Class 2), car parking, servicing, access arrangements, provision of new public realm and refurbishment of existing department store; detailed approval of siting and maximum height of building blocks, points of vehicular access and egress and location of pedestrian routes at the St James Centre, Edinburgh.

A copy of the Environmental Statement and associated planning application may be inspected at all reasonable hours* in the register of planning applications kept by the planning authority for the area at Waverley Court, East Market Street, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG and also at the St James Centre Management Suite during the period of 28 days beginning with the date of this notice. It is also available to view via the CEC on-line Planning Portal at www.edinburgh.gov.uk.

Printed copies of the Environmental Statement & Technical Appendices may be purchased from Gavin Spowage, Waterman Environmental, 2-4 Canning Street Lane, Edinburgh, EH3 8ER at a cost of £150 each. Also available on CD at a cost of £30.

Any person who wishes to make representation to The City of Edinburgh Council about the environmental statement should make them in writing within that period to the Head of Planning and Strategy, City of Edinburgh Council, City Development Department, Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street Edinburgh EH8 8BG.
