THE M77/A77 TRUNK ROAD (SYMINGTON AND BOGEND TOLL IMPROVEMENTS)

ADDENDUM TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS, as the relevant roads authority, are considering implementing the following project.

The M77/A77 Trunk Road (Symington and Bogend Toll Improvements) is a proposed new road improvement scheme including the following:-

The M77/A77 Trunk Road (Symington and Bogend Toll Improvements) is a proposed new road improvement scheme, the general effect of which will be to provide for the construction of new side roads; the improvement of certain existing lengths of road to form the new and improved connections in relation to the road improvement; the stopping up of various lengths of existing roads; the stopping up of various means of access and the provision of certain new means of access; the provision of new lengths of cycle tracks.

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS, give notice that the project is subject to the environmental impact assessment procedure prescribed by sections 20A and 55A of the Roads (Scotland) Act as amended and they have previously prepared an Environmental Statement in accordance with the provisions of that Act as amended. They have now prepared an addendum to the Environmental Statement.

THE M77/A77 TRUNK ROAD (SYMINGTON AND BOGEND TOLL IMPROVEMENTS) (REDETERMINATION OF MEANS OF EXERCISE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF PASSAGE) (NO. 2) ORDER 200[ ]

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Scottish Ministers propose to make an Order under sections 2(1) and 152(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, redetermining the means of exercise of the public right of passage over the lengths of road described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the Order is the “M77/A77 Trunk Road (Symington and Bogend Toll Improvements) (Redetermination of Means of Exercise of Public Right of Passage) (No. 2) Order 200[ ]”.

INTERPRETATION

In this Schedule -

the Plan Folio” means the Plan Folio numbered OTG/1660/6 signed with reference to this Order and deposited at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow.

the Trunk Road” means the M77/A77 Glasgow - Stranraer Trunk Road.

The point “A” refers to the point of intersection of the Trunk Road and the projected centre line of the existing access to Brocket, as shown on Plan RD1 in the Plan Folio.

The point “B” refers to the point of intersection of the Trunk Road and the projected centre line of the C138 road to Underwood and Ladykirk, as shown on Plan RD2 in the Plan Folio.

The point “C” refers to the point of intersection of the Trunk Road and the projected centre line of the existing C34 Symington Road South, as shown on Plan RD3 in the Plan Folio.

The point “D” refers to the point of intersection of the Trunk Road and the projected centre line of the existing Whitelees Road, as shown on Plan RD4 in the Plan Folio.

The point “E” refers to the point of intersection of the Trunk Road and the projected centre line of the existing B730 Tarbolton Road, as shown on Plan RD4 and Plan RD5 in the Plan Folio.

The point “F” refers to the point of intersection of the Trunk Road and the projected centre line of the existing access to Coodham Estate at Coodham East Lodge, as shown on Plan RD5 in the Plan Folio.

ROADS OVER WHICH MEANS OF EXERCISE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF PASSAGE IS TO BE REDETERMINED

The length of road shall become a cycle track, the right of passage being exercisable by pedal cycle and foot only. The public right of passage over the length of road at present is exercisable by whatever means.
