ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT The City of Edinburgh Council proposes to make an Order under Section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping up the road described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the Order is "The City of Edinburgh Council (Blenheim Place/Baxter's Place, Edinburgh) (Stopping Up) Order 200".

A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the road to be stopped up, together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order have been deposited at The City of Edinburgh Council, City Chambers Reception, High Street, Edinburgh.

Those documents are available for inspection free of charge from 29 July 2008 until 26 August 2008 during the hours of 9.30 am and 3.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

Any person may, within 28 days from 29 July 2009, object to the making of the Order by notice, in writing quoting reference RSO/08/8, to THE DIRECTOR OF CITY DEVELOPMENT, ( TRANSPORT ), Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, EDINBURGH EH8 8BG. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE

Blenheim Place/Baxter’s Place - (North-west side) - All that part of the footway on Blenheim Place/Baxter’s Place from a point 2.5 metres or thereby north-east of the intersection of the north-west building line of number 1 Blenheim Place and the north-east building line of number 9 Baxter’s Place, north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby and which has a width throughout of 2 metres or thereby.
