ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the East Renfrewshire Council propose to make an order under section 69(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping up the private means of access described in the Schedule hereto.
The title of the order is The East Renfrewshire Council (Blackbyres Farm, Barrhead) (Stopping Up of Access) Order 200[*]
A copy of the proposed order and accompanying plan showing the private access to be stopped up, together with a statement of reasons for making the order have been deposited at the following locations and are available for inspection free of charge.
During the hours 8.45am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 3.55pm Friday at the following addresses:-
1. Solicitor to the Council, East Renfrewshire Council Headquarters, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, Glasgow G46 6UG;
2. Roads & Transportation Services, 1st Floor, 2 Spiersbridge Way, Spiersbridge Business Park, Thornliebank, G46 8NG
3. Council Offices, 211 Main Street Barrhead; and
During the hours Monday 09:30 – 19:00 & Tuesday – Saturday 09:30 – 17:00 at:
1. Barrhead Community Library, Glen Street, Barrhead
ANY PERSON may, within 28 days from 4 July 2008 object to the making of the order by notice in writing to The Solicitor to the Council, East Renfrewshire Council Headquarters, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, Glasgow G46 6UG. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE
PRIVATE ACCESS TO BE STOPPED UP
The private access from Blackbyres Road to Blackbyres Farm located a point 127 metres east of the extended eastern kerbline of Shanks Way will be stopped up and replaced by an access from the new roundabout junction that will be centred 158 metres east of the extended eastern kerbline of Shanks Way to replace the road to be stopped up as shown on the plan 07/029/SR2 accompanying this Order.
