A PROCLAMATION

APPOINTING FRIDAY, 26TH DECEMBER 2008, AND MONDAY, 25TH MAY 2009, AS BANK HOLIDAYS IN SCOTLAND.

Whereas We consider it desirable that Friday, the twenty-sixth day of December in the year 2008 and Monday, the twenty-fifth day of May in the year 2009 should be bank holidays in Scotland:

Now, therefore, We, in pursuance of section 1(3) of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-sixth day of December in the year 2008 and Monday, the twenty-fifth day of May in the year 2009 to be bank holidays in Scotland.

Given at Our Court at Buckingham Palace this Eleventh day of June in the year of our Lord two thousand and eight in the fifty-seventh year of Our Reign.
