THE M8 SPECIAL ROAD (GLASGOW-GREENOCK) (JUNCTION 21, SEAWARD STREET IMPROVEMENT) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2007

THE GLASGOW-RENFREW MOTORWAY (STAGE 1) (CONNECTING ROADS) SPECIAL ROADS (VARIATION) SCHEME 2007

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they have made:

1.  the following Variation Scheme under sections 7, 143(1) and 145 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984:-

The Glasgow-Renfrew Motorway (Stage 1) (Connecting Roads) Special Roads (Variation) Scheme 2007 varying a length of special road which will provide a direct connection between the M8 Motorway Junction 21 Slip Roads and will in addition connect these Slip Roads with a proposed new roundabout at Seaward Street: and

2.  the following Order under section 9 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984:-

The M8 Special Roads (Glasgow – Greenock) (Junction 21, Seaward Street Improvement) (Side Roads) Order 2007 authorising the construction of a proposed new roundabout and associated improvement and stopping up of lengths of Seaward Street and Scotland Street.

COPIES of the Variation Scheme and Order, together with the Scheme to be varied and the relevant plans may be inspected free of charge during business hours from 26th January 2007 to 9th March 2007 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Trunk Roads Network Management Directorate, Buchanan House, Glasgow, G4 0HF; and Glasgow City Council, Land Services, Richmond Exchange, 20 Cadogan Street, Glasgow.

ANY PERSON aggrieved by the Variation Scheme or Order, who desire to question the validity thereof, or of any provisions therein, on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 or that any requirements of the said Act has not been complied with in relation to the Variation Scheme or Order may within 6 weeks of 26th January 2007 make application to the Court of Session for the suspension of the operation of, or the quashing of the Variation Scheme or Order or any provision contained therein.
