TRAFFIC ORDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Council propose to make the following Stopping up Orders under Section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping-up that length of footpath described in the Schedule hereto.

1)  (Footpath at Great Michael Road/Seafield Road, Arbroath) (Stopping Up) Order 200X

2)  (Benedict Road, Arbroath) (Stopping Up) Order 200X

A copy of the proposed orders and the accompanying plan showing the length of footpath/road to be stopped up together with a statement of the reasons for making the orders, may be examined during normal office hours and without payment of fee at St. James House, Forfar and Arbroath ACCESS Office.

Any person may, within 28 days of the date below, object to the making of the orders by notice in writing to the Head of Law and Administration, St James House, Forfar. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULES

1) Great Michael Road/ Seafield Road, Arbroath - that section of the south-west footpath of Great Michael Road, Arbroath from a point 35 metres or thereby south-east of the junction of Great Michael Road with Seafield Road extending westwards for a distance of 40 metres or thereby to its junction with the south-east footway of Seafield Road at a point 30 metres or thereby south-west of the said junction shown zebra hatched on the plan annexed and executed as relative hereto.

2) Benedict Road, Arbroath - that section of road extending for a distance of 45 metres or thereby southwards from the cul-de-sac previously forming part of Benedict Road, Arbroath and now known as Declaration Way and then again south-westwards for a distance of 21 metres or thereby shown zebra hatched on the plan accompanying the draft Order.
