ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984
THE STIRLING COUNCIL (PARK AVENUE, STIRLING)
(STOPPING-UP) ORDER 2006
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Stirling Council propose to make an Order under Section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 the effect of which will be to stop-up the road in Stirling described in the Schedule hereto.
THE TITLE of the Order is “The Stirling Council (Park Avenue, Stirling) (Stopping-Up) Order 2006”.
A COPY of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the road to be stopped-up, together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order have been deposited at the offices of Stirling Council, Environment Services, Viewforth, Stirling (Room 315). These documents are available for inspection free of charge during normal office hours. (Note:- the Council offices will be closed from Friday 22 December until Wednesday 3 January 2007.
ANY PERSON may, within 28 days from Wednesday 20 December 2006, object to the making of the Order by notice in writing to the undernoted by Wednesday 17 January 2007 stating the grounds for objection and quoting the reference number TM/9B - SRO/2006(110).
SCHEDULE
PART I
Road to be Stopped-Up
Park Avenue, Stirling
1. That part thereof, from its junction with the west side of Glebe Crescent in a north westerly direction for a distance of 9 metres, or thereby.
(Note: For the first 5.8 metres, or thereby, of the aforementioned road, the means of passage is reserved for pedestrians).
2. That part thereof, from a point 3.4 metres, or thereby, east of the east kerbline of Glebe Crescent in an easterly direction for a distance of 16 metres, or thereby.
3. That part thereof, from a point 47 metres, or thereby, east of the east kerbline of Glebe Crescent in an easterly direction for a distance of 8 metres, or thereby.
All of the above are shown on the plan attached to the Order.
PART II
Alternative Road
1. From a new access to Park Avenue to be created from Kings Park Road at a point 30 metres, or thereby, west of the west side of Glebe Crescent, onto the remaining part of Park Avenue at that location, a length of new road of 3 metres, or thereby.
2. From a new access to Park Avenue to be created from Kings Park Road at a point 30 metres, or thereby, east of the east side of Glebe Crescent, onto the remaining part of Park Avenue at that location, a length of new road or 3 metres, or thereby.
The alternative roads are shown on the plan accompanying the Order.
