THE A702 TRUNK ROAD (HILLEND) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under Section 84(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a 40mph speed limit on the following length of the A702 Trunk Road:-

That length of the A702 from a point 3050 metres or thereby southeast of the southernmost roundabout of the Lothianburn Junction on the A702 Edinburgh City Bypass, southwards to a point 260 metres southwest of the intersection of the boundary line between the two properties known as Hillend Cottage and Hillend Farm Cottage and the A702, a distance of 635 metres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road involved, and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal office hours from 9th November 2006 to 7th December 2006 at Transport Scotland, Trunk Roads Network Management Directorate, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4 0HF; and Amey Infrastructure Services, South East Unit, 600 Gilmerton Road, Edinburgh, EH17 8RY.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Director, Transport Scotland, Trunk Roads Network Management Directorate, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4 0HF quoting reference UM/NSE/A702/A703/2006 by 7th December 2006.
