PLANNING APPLICATION FOR THE ERECTION OF TWO WIND TURBINES, 55 METRES TO HUB AND 90 METRES TO ROTOR TIP AND ASSOCIATED ACCESS ROAD, AT LIEURARY, WESTFIELD, THURSO, CAITHNESS – 06/00488/FULCA
The Council has received a planning application accompanied by an Environmental Statement for the erection of two wind generators, 55 metres to hub, 90 metres to rotor tip and associated access road at land at Lieurary, Westfield, Thurso, Caithness.
The applicant is Scotrenewables (Wind power) Ltd, Hillside Office, Stromness, Orkney, KW16 3HS.
Copies of the Planning Application and Environmental Statement can be inspected during normal office hours at the following locations:-
1. The Planning and Building Standards Office, Market Square, Wick.
2. The Planning and Development Service, Highland Council Offices, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness.
3. Thurso Service Point, Council Offices, Rotterdam Street, Thurso, KW14 8AB.
4. Thurso Public Library, Davidson’s lane, Thurso, Caithness, KW14 7AF.
Copies of the Environmental Statement may be purchased from Scotrenewables (Wind Power) Ltd, Hillside Office, Stromness, Orkney, KW16 3HS at a cost of £200 for the ES. Copies of the non-technical summary are available free of charge from Scotrenewables.
The application is advertised as a potential bad neighbour and as a potential departure from the Development Plan as well as an application accompanied by an Environmental Statement.
Any person wishing to make representations to the Highland Council should make them in writing to the Director of Planning and Development, Highland Council, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX within a period of 28 days beginning with the date of this notice.
