NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 13

PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AT GREENBURN OPENCAST COAL SITE (DALGIG EXTENSION), NEW CUMNOCK

Notice is hereby given that an Environmental Statement has been submitted to East Ayrshire Council by Kier Construction Limited (trading as Kier Mining) relating to the Planning Application in respect of Proposed Extension of Opencast Coal Site.

A copy of the Environmental Statement and the associated Planning Application may be inspected at all reasonable hours in the Register of Planning Applications kept by the Planning Authority for the area at Council Offices, Lugar, Cumnock, or by prior arrangement at one of the local offices throughout East Ayrshire, during the period of 28 days beginning with the date of this Notice.

Copies of the Environmental Statement may be purchased from Kier Mining per Mark Harrington, Mining Manager, Tempsford Hall, Sandy, Bedfordshire at a cost of £100.00 (Copies of the Non—Technical Summary may be obtained free of charge).

Any person who wishes to make representations to East Ayrshire Council about the Environmental Statement should make them in writing within that period to the Head of Planning, Development and Building Standards, Council Offices, Lugar, Cumnock, KA18 3JQ.
