NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF REPLACEMENT OF ULLAPOOL; GAIRLOCH VILLAGE; LOCHBROOM LANDWARD; APPLECROSS, GAIRLOCH & LOCHCARRON LOCAL PLANS

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997

WESTER ROSS LOCAL PLAN

On 29 June 2006 The Highland Council by resolution adopted replacement of the above named Local Plans as modified by the Council.

Certified copies of replacement of the plan and of the resolution together with:

Certified copies of:

• the report of the local inquiry held

• the Council’s statements prepared following consideration of such report; and

• the statement of the planning authority's decision with respect to each objection and of the reasons for the decision have been deposited at:

• the Area Planning and Building Control Office, Achany Road, Dingwall;

• the Council Service Points in Gairloch, Ullapool and Lochcarron;

• the Libraries at Achiltibuie, Applecross, Gairloch, Lochcarron, Ullapool and the Mobile Library Service;

• sub- or community post offices at Achiltibuie, Applecross, Aultbea, Dundonnell, Gairloch, Inverasdale, Kinlochewe, Laide, Lochcarron, Poolewe, Strathcarron, Strath, Ullapool; and

• The Planning and Development Service Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness.

The deposited documents are available for inspection free of charge during normal opening hours and also on the Council web-site at www.highland.gov.uk from Friday 21 July 2006.

The Plan becomes operative on Thursday 29 June 2006, but if any person aggrieved by the plan desires to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, or that any requirement of the said Part II or of any regulations made there under (or under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972) have not been complied with in relation to the adoption of the plan, he may, within six weeks from 21 July 2006, make an application to the Court of Session under section 238 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.
