THE A85 TRUNK ROAD (TAYNUILT) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under section 84(1)(a) as read with section 124(1)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a 30mph speed limit on the following length of road:

That length of the A85 Tyndrum - Oban Trunk Road at Taynuilt from a point 30 metres or thereby west of the centreline of Airds Bay Road eastwards to a point 108 metres or thereby northeast of the centreline of Brochroy Road, a distance of 1990 metres or thereby.

The A85 Trunk Road (Taynuilt)(30 and 40mph Speed Limits) Order 1995 is revoked by this Order.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved, a copy of the existing Order to be revoked and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 20th April 2006 until 18th May 2006 at Transport Scotland, Trunk Roads Network Management Directorate, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ and Taynuilt Sub Post Office, Taynuilt PA35 1JE.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to Transport Scotland, Trunk Roads Network Management Directorate, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ by 18th May 2006.
