SEAFIELD LANE, ST FERGUS – PROPOSED STOPPING-UP

Notice is hereby given that Aberdeenshire Council proposes to make an order under Section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping-up the length of road described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the order is “The Aberdeenshire Council (Seafield Lane, St Fergus) (Stopping-up) Order, 2006.”

A copy of the proposed order and a plan showing the length of road to be stopped up, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the order are available for inspection at the offices of the Transportation and Infrastructure Service, Cape House, 21 Seafield Street, Banff (contact Neil McLeod: 01261 813490), the Law and Administration Service, Woodhill House, Westburn Road, Aberdeen (contact Claire Martin: 01224 665174) and Peterhead Library, St Peter Street, Peterhead. Those documents are available free of charge during normal office hours.

Any person may within 28 days of 11 April 2006 object to the making of the order by notice in writing to the undersigned. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

Seafield Lane, St Fergus

Proposed Area to be Stopped-up

The area proposed comprises the eastern end of Seafield Lane at the existing junction with the A90 (T) Road, to a point 4 metres or thereby to the west of the junction.

Alternative Route

From a point 33 metres or thereby west of the proposed section to be stopped-up, northwards then eastwards to its junction with the A90 (T) Road

New Footpath

To be constructed on the A90/Seafield Lane junction (across existing Bellmouth access)
