ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that The City of Edinburgh Council propose to make an Order under Section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping up the road described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the Order is "The City of Edinburgh Council (Wauchope Road and Niddrie Mains Terrace, Edinburgh, Edinburgh) (Stopping Up) Order 200".

A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the roads to be stopped up, together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order have been deposited at The City of Edinburgh Council, City Development Department, 1 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh.

Those documents are available for inspection free of charge from 7 April 2006 until 5 May 2006 during the hours of 9.30 am and 3.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

Any person may, within 28 days from 7 April 2006, object to the making of the Order by notice, in writing quoting reference RSO/06/3, to The Director of City Development, (Transport and Communications), PO Box No 12474, 1 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1ZL. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE

Wauchope Road - The whole road from the north kerbline of Niddrie Mains Drive northwards to the south kerbline of Niddrie Mains Terrace, a distance of 187 metres or thereby and which has a width throughout of 11 metres or thereby.

Niddrie Mains Terrace - The whole road from a point 46 metres or thereby east of the extended east kerbline of Wauchope Terrace eastwards for a distance of 88 metres or thereby and which has a width throughout of 9 metres or thereby.
