ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

ANGUS COUNCIL (PALMERSTON STREET, FORMER WEST FOOTWAY, MONTROSE) (STOPPING-UP) ORDER 2005

Notice is hereby given that Angus Council hereby propose to make an order under Section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping-up that length of road described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the order is the “Angus Council (Palmerston Street, Former West Footway, Montrose) (Stopping-Up) Order 2005.”

A copy of the proposed order and of the accompanying plan showing the length of road to be stopped up together with a statement of the reasons for making the order, may be examined during normal office hours and without payment of fee at the following addresses:-

1.  Angus Council, Reception, St. James House, St. James Road, Forfar

2.  Angus Council, ACCESS Office, Town House, Montrose

Any person may, within 28 days from 10 June 2005, object to the making of the order by notice in writing to the Director of Law and Administration, Angus Council, St James House, St James Road, Forfar. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

Palmerston Street, Former West Footway, Montrose—the entire length of footway thereof lying between Russell Street and Academy Square, a distance of 66 metres or thereby.
